NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS AND MATERIAL SUPPLIERS
Sealed bids will be received at the office of the Manistee County Road Commission, 8946 Chippewa Highway, Bear Lake, MI. 49614 until 1:00 p.m. Monday, October 12th, 2026, at which time and place the bids will be opened and read aloud for furnishing the Manistee County Road Commission for construction of the following:
High Bridge Slope Failure Re-Construct 2026
Specifications are available at www.manisteecrc.org and at the Road Commission office in Bear Lake, Michigan. Emailed or faxed bids will not be accepted.
All materials and all work will be in accordance with the 2020 MDOT Standard Specifications for Construction.
Insurance requirements shall be in accordance with the 2020 MDOT Standard Specifications for Construction. Award is contingent upon Board approval and funding being available.
The Manistee County Road Commission, in accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, 78 Stat. 252, 42 U.S.C 2000d to 2000d-4 and Title 49, Code of Federal Regulations, Department of Transportation, SubTitle A, Office the Secretary, Part 21, Nondiscrimination in Federally assisted programs of the Department of Transportation issued pursuant to such Act, hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively insure that in any contact entered into pursuant to this advertisement, minority business enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, or national origin in consideration for an award.
The Board reserves the right to reject any or all bids or any part of the same, to waive irregularities and/or informalities and to make the award in part or entirety in any manner deemed to be in the best interest of the Manistee County Road Commission. Contractors / suppliers that do not honor their bid throughout the season may at MCRC discretion be precluded from future bid lettings.
